Good and Bad Choices
Excellent Choices
- Apricot

- Capsicum strips
- Cherry tomatoes
- Cucumber
- Celery sticks

Good Choices
- Dried fruit – good in small amounts as they are a concentrated form of fruit sugars without the fluid, and can stick to teeth causing tooth decay
- Fruit juice – Good choice to increase fluid intake but some juices (fruid drinks) have added sugar. Eating the fruit is a much better way to get these nutrients plus more
- Yoghurt - excellent choice, except will be a challenge without refridgeration at school
- Popcorn - watch the levels of salt or sugar
|
Poor Choices
Potato chips/crisps
Corn chips
Twisties
High fat sweet biscuits
Fruit bars (processed)
